The Department of Public Health has released AFL 19-15.1 which outlines a streamlined process for submitting applications for Skilled Nursing Facilities requesting a Patient Needs Waiver and Workforce Shortage Waiver.
Key highlights of AFL 19-15.1:
- The online waiver application period is only open between January 1st to April 1st for each application year. (This year the online waiver period will be extended to April 15, 2019 due to technical difficulties.)
- Providers must go to the CDPH Flex Waiver website to create an account and use the site for submitting the application.
- You will receive a confirmation email with an identification number to monitor your submission.
